Gmail has a pinch last night that provides a better service contact management. By clicking on the "A" or "Cc:" links in front of each address field, a box appears with a list of contacts. (See example at right). It is a simple change but it avoids having to go to another page to find a contact.
Often, users of Gmail, you probably will not use this feature because Gmail gives you a list of auto-complete suggestions as you start typing a name in the "To:" field. They are based on people who have communicated with recently, and usually does the affair. But if you do not send someone for a long period, your name does not appear. It is useless if you can not remember its name.
Anything that reduces the number of steps it takes to complete an e-mail is a plus in my book. However, this feature is somewhat hidden. You must click on the "To" or "CC" links to expose something that many people can do it by mistake the first time (and for what I say).
The switch also works for groups.
