Zimbra

It seems like two years ago that Yahoo! bought the open source platform for communication Zimbra for 350 million dollars. Oh, well, that's because it is. But now it seems that Yahoo! Zimbra is looking to sell, and a number of other properties that do not fit the mission statement streamline the business, including HotJobs.

While Zimbra advanced messaging tools certainly left their mark on the recent update to Yahoo! Web mail client, but the real strength of Zimbra is the fact that you can deploy the software on your own server and create a corporate network, email, chat, and calendar. And this is not necessarily a Yahoo! want to be now. Instead, the company focuses on its consumer products.

Tr.im open source release

Tr.im history is a bit eccentric and a saga and was closed, bringing to life a few days later, recovering from one company to an employee of the company, and then made open source. Well, now the promise of open source becomes a reality, but not as fast as developer Eric Woodward had hoped. He announced the first open source version of Tr.im - if by "liberation" means "at least a few more days to go before the release." The biggest news is the plan to surrender the domain Woodward Tr.im a repository of third parties. Like the open source version of Tr.im is still a work in progress.

In the field of development, Tr.im 's user authentication module and needs to be fixed, and there are still a few days of bug fixes to do. As to the third party could retain Tr.im, Woodward wrote that the talks are in their final phase, leaving aside the important detail of what he speaks. All this looks like another story Tr.im making jokes while people still might be interested. Actually Tr.im still use, but I'm less interested in their business, and more interested in knowing if it works correctly.

UltraVPN

UltraVPN was discovered by Addictive Councils and we must say that is one of the easiest solution at this time. It works very well and provides access to Hulu, Pandora and all of us the other sites and services only there. The transmission quality is excellent unlike other free competitors (like Hotspot Shield). Our hypothesis is, however, that this is a matter of time - thanks to the popularity - before implementing UltraVPN get a tooth or two also.

Installation is a snap. All the user needs is to create a site account UltraVPN (single user name and password required). The VPN configuration is available for Windows and Mac OS. The user name and password must be provided in the home. The VPN service informs the user that is logged in the computer. What remains is that access points and services to test the speed and quality of service.

PetsMD
